Hi Michele, just wanted to drop you a quick line and tell you how ace is doing.  He is adapting to his new home perfectly!  He certainly knows who his daddy is, i feel like a mother duck! :) in a good way though.  I try to take him as many places i can, hoping that he will learn from the many environments, serving him well when he is an adult. He is around planes a lot, when i go to our hangar in the evening to "hang with the boys" he is well adapt. I guess you could say he isn't airplane shy instead of not gun shy, and all the noises and smells associated.  Many of my friends find it truly awesome how he simply trots right behind me across the ramp at the airport, and me not having to worry that he will run off and get in trouble. I realize his "terrible twos" are fast approaching, although maybe if we are lucky they will pass him by. The only thing that seems to get him is when he is first put in his crate, (unless he is sleepy) then he barks for quite a while. But if its the only thing i cant complain, I couldn’t ask for a more well mannered pup! My older weim who I believe is 12 now, looks over him but refuses to play, silly old man :). His health is overall good but lately his rear knees seem to bother him after he has been active for a bit, i am taking action too hopefully correct this asap. I just want ace to grow up along his brother as long as permissible, as sam is a good role model. I want to thank you again for the wonderful pup, he is a great joy to have. Hope the rest of the litter is just as well.

Keep in touch,

Hi.  This is Chad Snavely.  My dog is doing great.  His name is Rebel.  His name in no way reflects his actions.  He has a lot of energy but is not hyper.  I have done a lot of training with him and he is very obedient.  He basically does anything I tell him to, and is very smart.  He is a hunter.  I am hoping this season he picks up on a few more things he didn't pick up on last season.  He will find pheasant pretty easily but goes nuts when he smells quail.  I think they are his favorite.  He is very sociable.  I run about a mile every morning and night with him.  I almost lost him to Parvo in December.  The vet said about 85% of dogs accept the shot but he was in the 15% that didn't.  Luckily he was around 8 months old because if he was any younger he probably wouldn't have faired so good.  He is in great health now.  He loves to retrieve anything you throw to him.  Feel free to use me as a reference if you need to.

Hi Kim and Michelle,

Not sure if you remember us, but we took one of the male puppies from your litter on April 2nd  (the day of the snow storm). We just wanted to thank you again for everything. He is the best dog ever, but I guess we are a little biased. We named him Snoop and deservedly so, he snoops into everything! Within one week of bringing him home he was potty trained. We just went to our last vet appt. on Thursday until he gets neutered and he weighed 31lbs. We can't even take him on a walk without at least 3 people asking us what kind of dog he is and where we got him and how beautiful he is, etc. We actually tricked him into thinking that ice cubes are treats, and he will do anything to get one, sit, lay down, etc. Once again we just wanted to thank you and let you know how well he is doing.

Thanks,

Ashley Cox & Chris Curry
